"She ran as long as her feet would go until it was almost evening; then she saw a little cottage and went into it to rest herself. Everything in the cottage was small, but neater and cleaner than can be told. There was a table on which was a white cover, and seven little plates, and on each plate a little spoon; moreover, there were seven little knives and forks, and seven little mugs. Against the wall stood seven little beds side by side, and covered with snow-white counterpanes."
"When it was morning little Snow-white awoke, and was frightened when she saw the seven dwarfs."
The story of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" of The Grimm Brothers would be only a nice fairy tell but for reports from Atacama Desert in Chile. In 2003 a skeletal remains of a 6-inch (150 mm) human was found there. It is the very mysterious skeleton. The remains have been dated to the last few decades. It means quite new. Some people suggested that the skeleton represents of extraterrestrial life. Scientists worked about it and a wide range of tests was carried out. X-rays photos of the skeleton you can see here. Its DNA was in good condition for scientific analysis but test which adjudicated that it was a human. But why so small? Anatomist and paleoanthropologist William Jungers has suggested that it is a premature human fetus but further researches have not confirmed his suspicion. Other scientists after the tests suggest the individual was between six and eight years old when he or she died. So we have around seven year old child 15 cm tall. This type of people was described by The Brothers Grimm in Germany, Maria Konopnicka in Poland or Hans Christian Andersen in Denmark. All of them created their fairy tales in 19 century where they described small people but the earliest ones were written by Grimm. How the brothers knew about dwarfs? The first explanation could be that the dwarfs lived not only in South America but also in Europe and people met them. Grimm have seen them or have heard about them from other people. The second explanation - people who worked in Chile brought to Germany news about Southern American dwarfs and Grimm adopted the stories to they fairy tells. The last one explanation would be clairvoyance or other psychic abilities. They could gain knowledge of the Southern American dwarfs by perception outside the known human senses.
